But enough of the ladies of OZ! What of the men??? WHAT OF THEM INDEED?
May I introduce:
—Lord Une (who bears a passing resemblance to voice/actress Enuka Okuma BECAUSE REASONS)
—Prince Reneé Peacecraft (sporting the least masculine haircut in history)
— Lt. Lorenzo Noin (flight instructor and dashing rouge extraordinaire)
— Dominick Catalonia (just as effeminate and touchy-feely as the original)

Mobile Suit Genderbent: Lady Treize and Lt. Marquise

HEADCANONS:
-I think Marquise would be her real name and then she’d go by Zechs while undercover. Neither ‘Zechs’ nor ‘Treize’ strike me as particularly gendered names.
-Lady Treize is older by the time she gets to be as highly ranked as she would be in the series. I think she’d have to struggle harder as a woman working her way up in an old boys’ club like Romafellor (and anyway, who the fuck becomes a colonel at 24 anyway? I’ve always thought Treize needed to be 30 at a bare minimum).
She starts putting her hair up when she’s a colonel, and when she means business.
– Ms. Khushrenada would probably use her femininity very aggressively, and might rely in some part on sex appeal as a way of intimidating people, at least while she’s younger and moving up the ranks. She’s tough as nails under the veneer.
-Marquise just butches it up and doesn’t let other pilots treat her differently. Might actually react with violence if you call her ‘princess’.
-Lady Treize would in no way put up with her natural eyebrows.
-Marquise does her own tuneups and repairs on her MS; likes to chill with the engineers and mechanics. Tries hard to overcome any remnants of her aristocratic upbringing.
